Privacy Policy

By accessing, registering for, or using REVIVE, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy. This Policy should be read alongside our Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Service.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account or use REVIVE, we may collect the following categories of information:

• Account Information — your name, email address, and password (stored securely and never in plain text) when you sign up.
• Google Account Information — if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google, as permitted by your Google account settings.
• Listing and Transaction Information — details you provide when listing an item for sale, including photos, descriptions, and pricing.
• Profile and Delivery Details — details you choose to add to your account, such as gender, height, clothing and shoe size, city, state, phone number and delivery address. We use them to help you find items in your size and to arrange delivery. Gender and height are optional.
• Payment and Payout Information — card payments are handled by Paystack, and we do not see or store your full card details. Sellers provide bank account details so they can be paid, and these are verified and used through Paystack.
• Newsletter Sign-ups — if you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address, the page you signed up on, and the date. If you're signed in when you subscribe, we also link the sign-up to your account and your first name.
• Usage Information — basic technical data such as browser type and device, used to keep the Service running reliably and securely. If you choose to accept analytics cookies, we also use Google Analytics to understand how REVIVE is used, such as which pages are visited and how people arrive; it collects the pages you view, your approximate location, and your device and browser type. If you decline, no data is sent to Google Analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your REVIVE account
• Authenticate you when you log in, including via Google Sign-In
• Enable buying and selling of items through the platform
• Communicate with you about your account, orders, or listings
• Send you our newsletter about new arrivals and REVIVE news, only if you've subscribed
• Improve and maintain the Service

Our Lawful Bases

We only handle personal data where the law allows it. For each of our main uses, the basis we rely on is:

• To carry out our agreement with you — creating and managing your account, letting you buy and sell, taking payment, arranging delivery and payouts, and supporting you.
• Our legitimate interests — keeping REVIVE secure, preventing fraud and abuse, verifying accounts and listings, and fixing problems. We weigh these interests against your rights and privacy.
• Your consent — the newsletter and optional analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time, and doing so does not affect anything done before.
• Legal obligations — keeping records we are required to keep and responding to lawful requests from authorities.

3. How We Store & Protect Your Information

Storage

Account and listing data is stored and managed using Supabase, a third-party backend provider. Passwords are never stored in plain text.

Security Measures

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information. However, no method of storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above. Account details are kept while your account is open and deleted or anonymised after you close it, except for records we must keep for legal, tax, accounting, dispute or fraud-prevention reasons. If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, we keep your sign-up record for 24 months and then reduce it to just your email address and the date you unsubscribed, which we keep so you are not added to the list again by mistake.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service Providers — partners who help us operate REVIVE: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Cloudflare (website hosting), Paystack (payments and payouts), Resend (emails we send), and Google (Sign-In and, if you accept, Analytics). They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
• Other Users — where necessary to facilitate a transaction (for example, a seller's display name being visible to a buyer).
• Authorities — where required to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or lawful request.

Transfers Outside Nigeria

Our database is hosted by Supabase in Ireland, and some of our other providers process data outside Nigeria. We only send data to providers that need it to deliver their service to us, and we use providers that commit to protecting personal data under their data-processing terms. We do not sell personal data.

5. Your Choices & Rights

Your Rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent you have given. You can update most account details yourself in your dashboard. For anything else, email hello@getreviveonline.com and we will respond within the time the law requires. If you are not satisfied, you also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).

Newsletter Emails

Subscribing to the newsletter is optional and separate from your account. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email, or by contacting us. Unsubscribing doesn't affect emails about your account, orders, or listings.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Always on: storage that keeps you signed in, remembers your theme and settings, and remembers your cookie choice. The site cannot work without these. Optional: Google Analytics cookies, which are only set if you click Accept on our cookie notice. You can change your choice at any time with the button below or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of any page. REVIVE works the same either way.

If you signed in with Google, you can also manage REVIVE's access to your Google account directly from your Google account settings.

6. Children's Privacy

REVIVE is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. When you sign up, we ask you to confirm that you are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child, we will delete it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of REVIVE after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
