Terms of Use
Effective Date: September 1, 2026
Welcome to Revive Online ("Revive Online", "we", "us", or "our"). Revive Online is a marketplace that connects people who want to sell pre-owned and unused clothing with people looking to buy them.
By accessing, registering for, or using our website, mobile application, or any of our services (collectively, the "Services"), you expressly acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, along with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must immediately discontinue use of our Services.
1. Eligibility & Account Security
Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old, or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account or use our Services. By using Revive Online, you warrant that you meet this age requirement.
Account Information
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account, listing an item, or completing a transaction. You agree to update your information promptly if it changes.
Security Responsibility
You are solely responsible for maintaining the strict confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts immediately, without prior notice, if we suspect any violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or misuse of the platform.
2. Sellers & Listings
Sellers on Revive Online agree to adhere to the following standards:
- Legal Right to Sell — Sellers must only list items they legally own or have explicit authorization to sell.
- Accuracy — Sellers must provide honest, highly accurate descriptions, sizes, conditions, measurements, and clear photographs. Any significant defects, stains, damage, alterations, or tailoring must be explicitly disclosed.
- Prohibited Items — Sellers must never list counterfeit, fake branded, stolen, prohibited, or illegal items.
- Fulfillment — Sellers must properly package items and dispatch them securely within the required timeframe, ensuring the correct item is sent to the buyer.
- Platform Rights — Revive Online reserves the right to remove, edit, or reject any listing that violates our policies, infringes intellectual property rights, or fails to meet our quality standards.
3. Buyers & Purchasing
- Due Diligence — Buyers must carefully review an item's description, photographs, size, measurements, condition tags, and disclosures before making a purchase.
- Payment Compliance — Buyers must provide accurate billing and delivery information and complete payments exclusively through Revive Online's approved payment channels.
- Prohibited Conduct — Buyers must not use the platform for fraudulent transactions, chargeback abuse, harassment, or any unlawful activity.
4. Item Conditions
All items listed on Revive Online will be assigned one of the following official condition tags:
- Like-New — Item is in near-perfect condition with little or no visible signs of use.
- Excellent — Item is in very good condition with minimal signs of use.
- Good — Item has noticeable but reasonable signs of use and remains in good wearable condition.
- Fair — Item shows visible signs of use but remains functional and wearable.
Acknowledgment: Because many items are pre-owned, buyers purchase items acknowledging that minor wear consistent with the stated condition tag is expected. Significant undisclosed defects must be vetted through our dispute process.
5. Payments
- Approved Channels — All financial transactions must be processed strictly through Revive Online's approved payment gateways.
- How Payments Work — A buyer pays the full price (plus any delivery fee shown at checkout) to Revive Online at checkout. Revive Online then arranges collection of the item from the seller, verifies it, and delivers it to the buyer. The seller is paid 48 hours after the buyer has received the item, less applicable fees. Sellers are not paid directly by buyers, and no payout is made before the item has been received by the buyer.
- Fees — Revive Online may deduct applicable service, transaction, or listing fees from the seller's proceeds. All fees will be communicated prior to transaction completion.
- Off-Platform Transactions (Anti-Circumvention) — Users are strictly prohibited from attempting to bypass Revive Online's payment systems or fees (e.g., soliciting direct bank transfers or off-site deals with users met on the platform). Violations will result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of active balances, and/or a platform misuse penalty fee.
- Third-Party Gateways — We are not responsible for losses, delays, or processing errors resulting from third-party payment processors or financial institutions.
- Buyer Protection & Payouts — Revive Online is not an escrow or financial services provider and does not hold funds as a trustee for any user. "Buyer protected" describes our policy that a seller is not paid until the buyer has received the item. A payout may be delayed or withheld while a return or dispute is open, and is reversed or adjusted if a refund is approved.
6. Delivery & Operational Disclaimer
Fulfillment & Logistics
Delivery arrangements, fees, and estimated delivery timelines will be displayed during checkout.
Carrier Liability Hand-Off
Once an item has been handed over to the designated shipping or delivery provider, transit delays, mishandling, loss, or damage caused by the carrier are outside Revive Online's direct control. While we will use commercially reasonable efforts to assist in resolving delivery disputes, Revive Online assumes no direct liability for carrier-induced loss or damage once dispatched.
Customs and Duties
For cross-border transactions, any government-imposed import duties, taxes, or clearance fees applied at the destination are the sole responsibility of the buyer/receiver.
7. Returns, Refunds & Dispute Resolution
Strict Time Window
Refund and dispute requests must be formally submitted within three (3) days of the item being delivered to the buyer or receiver. Requests made after this 3-day window will not be accepted.
Manual Vetting Process
No refunds are issued automatically. Before any refund is approved, Revive Online will manually review and vet the transaction, including examining the item details, payment records, tracking data, and evidence provided by both parties.
Eligibility for Refund
A refund will only be considered if it is officially confirmed that the transaction or item deviates significantly from the seller's description or falls outside Revive Online's established standards and policies.
Buyer Error Exclusions
Issues caused by a buyer's failure to review descriptions, condition tags, photographs, or measurements do not qualify for a refund.
Evidence Submission
Revive Online may request photos, unboxing videos, chat logs, or carrier documents during an investigation. Our marketplace decision on disputes is final and binding.
8. Prohibited Items & Conduct
The following items and behaviors are strictly banned on Revive Online:
- Counterfeit, replica, or unauthorized branded merchandise.
- Stolen property, contraband, or illegal substances.
- Fraudulent listings, scam attempts, or price manipulation.

13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REVIVE ONLINE, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND PARTNERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES—INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, REVENUE, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION—ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, USER MISCONDUCT, INACCURATE LISTINGS, OR THIRD-PARTY CARRIER FAILURES, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, OR STATUTE.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Revive Online, its affiliates, officers, and employees from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your misuse of the platform; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights; or (d) any inaccurate, illegal, or fraudulent items listed or purchased by you.
15. Force Majeure
Revive Online shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil disturbances, labor strikes, power failures, internet or telecommunications outages, cyber-attacks, or governmental restrictions.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Amicable Negotiation
In the event of any dispute, the parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith informal negotiations by contacting our support team.
Jurisdiction
If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably within thirty (30) days, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Nigeria.
17. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update, modify, or replace these Terms at our sole discretion. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of Revive Online after such modifications constitutes your formal acceptance of the updated Terms.
